Who?

Pedro Parra is a renowned soil and vineyard mapping expert with a Masters and PhD in Precision Agriculture and Terroir from the Institut Agronomique National in Paris. As a consultant to many well-known wineries in the Americas and Europe, he has spent much of the past 18 years discovering new sites, digging ‘calicatas’ (pits for soil analysis) and transforming the way wineries manage their vineyards.

Why?

It is becoming harder and harder to find decent Claret (English speak for red Bordeaux) with bottle age at a very reasonable price. We think this wine delivers this in spades. It is at its absolute peak right now, akin to Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface and almost as sexy too. If Tony Montana walked into our wine shop we’d have no qualms in recommending this delightful little number to him and we’re pretty sure he’d love it too.

With?

Larose Perganson, say hello to my little friend, Pyrenean Lamb. Don’t worry we won’t fill it with bullets though we will fill it with Mediterranean herbs and a shed load of garlic and finally lather it in olive oil before massaging it’s young milky skin and sliding it in the oven to cook it low and slow for hours. Jokes aside this supple little number would work with a range of meats, BBQ’d or roasted with plenty of herbs and seasoning or for that matter vegetables of the BBQ, following the same rules…
