Who?

We just love this Julien’s wines and how he chooses to express Gigondas. Normally the wines are meaty, intense, rustic (to the point of almost being offensive), knife and fork wines. Yet the ‘Chambolle of the Rhône’ is anything but. It serenades your palate like Michael Bublé singing Christmas Carols to you mother live in your loungeroom. It’s sensual like a Swedish massage and oh so moreish. I know what I’ll be taking home tonight...

With?

The elegance of this wine opens up more pairing options then one would normally associate with the Gigondas appellation. We quite like the idea of a cheeky charcuterie selection from our deli or perhaps one might whip up a mushroom risotto and be very happy washing down mouthfuls with said Gigondas. It would probably sit very comfortably side by side with the classic regional dish of Tapenade Provençal if carbs or meat aren’t your bag.
